Channie and Barry Peters: Solar at Vineyard Lane

On October 15th (the Kitsap Solar Tour Date), after attending the orientation meeting at the Senior Center from 10am to 11:30am, come visit our solar site at the Fireside Room of the Vineyard Lane condo community between 11:30am and 4pm. From the intersection of Winslow Way and Route 305 (just north of the Winslow ferry terminal), travel north on 305 one-quarter mile to the first right hand turn, which is Vineyard Lane. Travel straight up the hill 100 yards to the first left into the parking lot. Follow signs to walk 100 yards from the parking lot to the Fireside Room (community room) which faces the central garden courtyard of Vineyard Lane. Channie and Barry Peters will welcome you in the community room, and will point our their solar installation (and those of two neighbors). We'll show photos of the installation and information about the electricity produced by the 4 kilowatt panels that have met 80% of our electrical needs for the past 4 years. We'll have financial information and spreadsheets showing how the solar installation pays for itself over time. Ask for Channie or Barry Peters.
