November 2013 General Meeting

Following is a recap of Solar Washington's November 2013 General Meeting held November 11 at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. The November meeting's topic focused on Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). BIPV is a rapidly growing segment of the solar industry with projects throughout the Northwest. Attendees learned how equipment manufacturers are partnering with traditional building design firms to integrate their modules in building structures.

Jeremy Smithson of Puget Sound Solar introduces Solar Installers of Washington, a professional trade association established in October 2013 to be a unified voice for the common business interests of its members, particularly related to public policy, legislation, and governmental relations. SIW educates legislators and regulators while promoting public understanding about the impacts of policies related to solar energy inside the State of Washington.  Click for more information about SIW.
