The Washington State Solar Summit is an important annual information gathering and networking event for industry stakeholders including manufacturers, installers, utilities, municipalities, legislators, educators, students, advocacy organizations/nonprofits, distributors, consultants and more.

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee scheduled to say a few words about our clean energy future and Washington state’s leadership on solar industry investments.

 

 

 Topics will include the following:

  • Overview of the state of solar in WA and in the United States
  • An overview of net metering, utility net metering updates, and a discussion by stakeholders on how to proceed with addressing net metering in WA
  • Addressing elements of the solar bill passed in July 2017 including the new renewable energy production incentive program and the state's recycling program
  • A look at larger solar projects and new market opportunities & challenges in Washington
