2022 Solar Summit FAQs

How is parking around the conference center?

A:

Parking is not great around the Centilia Cultural Center.  The conference center is located steps from the Beacon Hill Link Station, so we recommend using public transit to attend.  If you are coming from the North, parking at the Northgate Park & Ride would be a great option.  The Tukwila/International Blvd Link Light Rail Station offers a good alternative if your coming from the South.

Parking in streets adjacent to the Transit Station is mostly limited to 2 and 4 hours.  Free parking is available in residential areas further East, starting around 20th Ave S.  Specifically, we found parking on:

19th Ave S, between College & Bayview
S Waite Street, east of 19th Ave. S
20th Ave S, between McClellan & Bayview

And west of the conference center:

S Stevens, west of 15th

A:

Your registration cover all the in-person sessions from 9 am to 5 pm, pre-event breakfast, lunch, and after-hour gathering with food and non-alcoholic beverages.  The registration also covers optional access to the Job Fair.

I will need overnight accommodations. Is there a block of rooms reserved somewhere?

A:

Solar Washington did not reserve a block of rooms, but has identified two nearby hotels that would be convenient for Summit attendees:

- Silver Cloud Hotel Seattle – Stadium - 1046 1st Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98134 - $189/night (closer, easier driving distance)

- Georgetown Inn – 6100 Corson Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98108 -$159/night

I am looking for places to meet colleagues during or after the conference. Any suggestions?
