The Solar Foundation Releases 2015 Solar Jobs Census

Solar-Foundation-logo.jpg(February 10, 2016) Washington, DC  — The Solar Foundation (TSF), an independent nonprofit research and education organization, released state-by-state data from its annual National Solar Jobs Census series via the State Solar Jobs Census Map. This year’s State Census provides the most detailed solar jobs information for every state including data on solar jobs per state and federal congressional district. Read the full press release.

According to the Solar Foundation's report, one of few states that saw minor contraction in solar jobs in 2015, Washington now has 2,262 solar workers, which is slightly lower than the previous year. An estimated 15.5 megawatts (MW) of new solar photovoltaic (PV) capac-ity were installed in 2015 through Q3, about 10% more than the previous year, which brings Washington’s total to 54.2 MW cumulative in-stalled solar PV capacity.
