On May 2, 2018 Solar Washington and DLR Group held an evening of networking with women connected directly and indirectly to the solar industry in Washington. Women from renewable energy sectors including solar design, architecture, installation, distribution, marketing, finance, planning and permitting, manufacturing, as well as utilities, government agencies, and advocacy organizations gathered to network, trade stories, and learn more about opportunities in the sector.

Speaking at the event were Tara Kelly, National Business Development Leader, Senior Associate at DLR Group, Rachel Brombaugh, Energy Policy and Partnerships Specialist, King County Executive Office, who described several solar projects completed by King County as well as others in progress, and Britton Rife, Solar Washington Vice President, who presented findings of a recent employment survey presented by Solar Washington. (Note: SW is analyzing the results of the survey and will make findings available in the future).
