Description: Snohomish County PUD is the second largest publicly owned utility in the Pacific Northwest, serving over 350,000 electric customers and about 21,000 water customers. The PUD has proudly offered programs to encourage solar energy generation in its service territory since 2009. In 2019, the PUD launched and quickly sold out Snohomish County’s first Community Solar project. The 500 kW array at the site of the future Arlington Microgrid is the largest Community Solar project in the state to date.
